The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) implemented a new online Medicaid Complaint Form on June 1.
The new form was developed to:
- give submitters a complaint tracking number for each complaint submission.
- solicit better information upfront, for faster processing.
- reduce the time needed for a complaint to be sent to a plan (if applicable).
- reduce the total time needed for complaints to be worked, from start to finish.
In addition, AHCA has implemented a new Medicaid Complaints webpage, which was developed to give providers and recipients better information about AHCA’s complaint process, to answer commonly asked questions and to offer some additional complaint resources. Providers also can choose to submit complaints by phone by calling the Medicaid Helpline at 877.254.1055 (TDD 866.467.4970). Staff are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. EST.
